About Tai-Hua Training Centre

Tai-Hua GWO Training Centre was jointly established by Great Sea Energy, XRA International , and Chung Hua University in response to Taiwan’s offshore wind industry development. Our mission is to cultivate local offshore wind professionals and provide localized, industry-aligned training services. Located in northern Taiwan’s Hsinchu area—close to major offshore wind farms off the coasts of Hsinchu and Miaoli—we offer the most convenient offshore wind safety training base in the region.

We deliver GWO-certified training programs, including the full Basic Safety Training (BST) modules: Working at Heights (WAH), Manual Handling (MH), Sea Survival (SS), First Aid (FA), and Fire Awareness (FAW). These courses equip trainees with essential qualifications recognized across the global offshore wind industry.

By integrating industry expertise with the academic resources of Chung Hua University, Tai-Hua GWO Training Centre provides professional, internationally accredited, and locally tailored training services. We are committed to strengthening Taiwan’s offshore wind talent pipeline and becoming the trusted training partner for both companies and trainees.

GWO Course Introduction

GWO Basic Safety Training, BST (Basic Safety Training) and BSTR (Basic Safety Training Refresher), consists of five programs, namely, First Aid Attendance (FA), Work at Height (WAH), Sea Survival (SS), Manual Handling (MH), and Fire Awareness (FAW). The purpose of the training is to provide basic safety awareness and training to all wind farm workers.

The training process includes theoretical fundamentals and practical session. All trainees must attend all courses in order to achieve the GWO standard and must pass the test before obtaining the license. Each license is valid for two years and must pass the BSTR refresher training within two months before the license expires in order to maintain the two-year validity period.
